Wellsview Cottage is pleased to provide treatment space for Janis KC Jarvis. Janis Jarvis is a NATH Certified Master Hypnotherapist and ARE Certified Professional Life Coach. As the owner of Hypnotherapy by the Bay LLC, she “trance-forms” lives, increasing happiness and self-mastery through hypnotherapy and life coaching. Specialties include
· Eliminating or controlling habits, fears and addictions; · Providing relief from the effects of trauma; and · Facilitating self-awareness and peace of mind through spiritual hypnosis.
Janis is well educated and well rounded, grounded and spiritual with a wealth of experience. After earning a Masters in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University (GPA 4.0), she had the honor of being admitted to and completing the 2-year post graduate certification program in Gestalt Psychotherapy at the former Gestalt Institute of Washington DC (now called the Washington Center for Consciousness Studies).
She was privileged to receive training in Transpersonal Hypnotherapy, Advanced Hypnotherapy (Masters), and Spiritual Regression (Past Life and Life Between Lives (LBL)) from Dr. Allen Chips, renowned hypnotherapist, author and co-founder of the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists (NATH). Dr. Chips also designed and facilitated LBL Hypnosis training with Dr. Michael Newton (author of “Journey of Souls” which popularized LBL Hypnosis).
Janis now holds multiple certifications: ARE Professional Life Coaching, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Trauma Hypnosis, Addictions Hypnosis, Childhood Chakra Regression, and Soul Link.
In addition to her career in hypnotherapy and life coaching, Janis worked in the Private sector and in the U.S. Government; volunteered at a Crisis Intervention and Suicide Hot line; and interned at an Addictions Center (continuing to volunteer there months after the internship ended until all her clients had completed their treatment!).
Janis has 2 daughters and 2 grandsons and is a passionate environmentalist. She loves to dabble in art and music and will one day make the ocean her home.
