AUTUMN HERB CLASS

Service Description

WELLSVIEW’S herbal workshop series is offered each season of the year — Spring, Summer, Late Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Learn herbs in the Materia Medica - from western, eastern and native traditions - that help us align naturally with the phenomena of each season. Typically, we focus on 5-8 herbs in each gathering, presenting monograph insights, history, ecology and ethnobotany for the herbs how they relate to our bodies, minds, spirits; and exploring ways to integrate them safely into our daily lives for greater well- being. Based on time available, we will invite hands-on 'medicine-making' in relationship with the herbs you personally choose in most workshops. You typically leave class with your own hand-crafted herbal product and recipe(s) for other projects to practice with at home each season. This year's Autumn program will focus on self-care with local plants from your gardens, harvested to fill your ‘autumn-into-winter’ medicine cabinets to stay well! We will look at herbs like: Bee Balm, Anise Hyssop, Elderberry, Scallions and even a few soybeans! Space is limited so sigh up today. There is a team of teachers for this multi-season series. The faculty for this year's Autumn class include Herbalists Happel Kolakski, Christel Libiot and Dr. Kate as the leaders behind the counters. This is a live, in-person class.
